Here’s the injury report for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Chicago Bears in Chicago for today’s game.

Out: CB Brandon Ghee (concussion), G Mike Pollak (knee)

Doubtful: OT Andrew Whitworth (knee)

Probable: DE Carlos Dunlap (concussion), TE Tyler Eifert (forearm), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion), OT Andre Smith (knee), DT Devon Still (knee).

The Chicago Bears have no one listed on the injury report before the game, but the team did get back an important piece to the defense with Henry Melton returning this week from a concussion. Melton is a critical piece to the Bear’s pass rush, gaining 13.0 sacks over the last two seasons with 7.5 in 2011.

The Bengals will be without veteran Andrew Whitworth which is a huge hit to the offensive line. Anthony Collins will be taking on Julius Peppers and his 11.5 sacks from 2012. Luckily for Collins, the Bengals’ offensive line depth chart isn’t long and he took a lot of snaps with the first team during training camp and the preseason. He will need it, especially with the kind of disruption Peppers can cause on the line.

With Melton coming back healthy and Whitworth hurt, the Bengals’ offensive line will be on watch today. Kyle Cook will start opposite Melton, and Cook has had some struggles, along with the entire offensive line before the unit put together a good game against the Colts in the final preseason game.

The Bears’ offensive line is even more scrapped together than the Bengals. Although all the Bears’ starters on the offensive line will be playing, two of them – right guard Kyle Long and right tackle Jordan Mills – are rookies. Left tackle Jermon Bushrod and left gaurd Matt Slauson are new starters to the left side for the Bears.

As stated in the opening game preview, it will be a defensive game today, and which ever team’s offense can stay on its feet the longest will win.
